I genuinely haven’t been this excited to write a blog for a long time, this album has been on repeat non-stop. The South Atlanta artist has paved his own way with his unique tone and vocals, completely different from some of the autotune babyvoices you hear nowadays. It’s actually difficult to hone down exactly what you are getting with Hardrock, he has this ability to change his voice and deliver different types of energy, but he just does it to an extremely high level. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
‘SLIMYFELLA’ is a project that you can feel every single beat, lyric, delivery, is done with intention. My favourite tracks on the project are the ones where HR takes a more cartoon-ish/whimsical tone of voice and delivers an effortless flow on the melodic-trap beats. There is a lot to take in and unpack in ‘SLIMYFELLA’, that I can only suggest you check it out yourself.
