As many would know by now, I am a huge fan of music that is creative and sounds fun. So naturally hearing these Nintendo type beats on ‘#notasfunasitseems’, I am immediately drawn into the world. ninexteen is able to flow on beats that feel like they are straight from a Mario Kart Rainbow Road, the project absolutely screams of inner childhood, with a pinch of trans music.
‘notasfunasitseems’ is almost irony, to the actual sound of the album. It is fun, and definitely a conversation starter due to the uncertainty of how people will react to the new sound, but this is why art is made. If you are looking for that nostalgia feeling and trying to find something fresh and exotic, then it’s definitely the listen for you.
