lade is a new artist that I got lucky to stumble upon, as you may know by now I enjoy finding artists with a different sound that contrasts from modern era trap. lade is a small artist from Virginia that started his career in 2022 (I believe) on Soundcloud and has since elevated and pushed into his own sound.
Much like the album cover suggests, it’s step back from trap and a more smoothing melodically sound project. One you can listen to at any time of day, any mood, and still enjoy. While the album explores ideas of difficulties in his life, his relationships with family members and friends, it still has a catchy sound that is airy and able to be diverse from today’s sounds.
