Not many artists have been on the streak that the Concrete Boy has been on lately, starting his rollout (which at the time I was not aware of) with his hit ‘She wanna be my freak’ and then continuously dropping tracks with matching visuals – I new DC was up to something diabolical.
Continuing his series of Drank Babies with this being the 4th edition, Mr. 2Trill leaves no stone unturned. The repeated percussions with his change in vocals makes for a really exciting listen. By using the momentum from ‘It’s Us Vol.1’ (which is still on repeat) he manages to bring the same energy and flow while showing that this time it’s not us, but me.
A beautiful album that uses elements that fans love Concrete Boys for, while also branching out into his own lane and emerging.
