After dropping one of my favourite local projects last year, ‘BALVA’ , BabylowSk1 is back with another must-hear project. ‘BALVABABY’, seemingly like a sequel to his previous project, Lowsk1 is able to pour his emotions and hone in on his storytelling that give listeners another layer to enjoy over the heavy-hitting eight-0-eights and spacious beats.
It is not a surprise that Babylowsk1 is the talk of the town, and some claiming ‘AOTY’ already, isn’t a stretch. His sound is unique and enjoyable on any occasion and there is a track in this project for seemingly anybody. Everything that you hear is done with complete intention and an aim at a bigger purpose for Sk1. Oh, and features? NONE. In contrast to his previous star-studded ‘BALVA’ with features from superstars like Blxckie, K1llbrady, and Jaykatana, ‘BALVABABY’ is lowsk1 in it by himself and showing that he’s his own star, and he’s damn right.
His hands-on approach aa described by himself sending out melodies to producers and giving them an idea of the sounds he is looking for on the Swisher podcast emphasis’ his talent and strive for perfection.
This is a must check out album, the sound cannot be described in words, I recommend to just listen to it, and enjoy it.
