Working with Drae is something I have been wanting to do for a very long time, [Can’t Stand] is actually the 3rd track he sent me, after we were meant to shoot earlier in 2023 but never got around to it. I was very excited to shoot this vid and even proposed the idea to create 2 videos in 1, because why not? Not long after Drae sent through [RGIII} and immediately the ideas started flooding and we were in motion.
The first track featured in the video is [Can’t Stand] and it is inspired by Lucki’s – ‘Greed’ featuring Lil Yachty. We kept the first video cool, calm and collected as is ‘Greed’, no fancy edits, just vibes and Larry. (just hoping that nobody clicks off the video early because they will miss the real juice)
RGIII comes in and the mood is completely transformed into an ‘Opium’ style video with the aim of the video to embody the dark scintillating feel of Drae’s music. Taking a step back and looking at the day as a whole, it was such an experience to remember and look back on. I can only predict many more Drae Sativ bangers and hopefully more videos on the Gingerbread Garden channel.
