I am really starting to open to this idea of artists previewing music via music videos only on Youtube. My first sight of this came from Trippie Redd at the beginning of this year, where he went on a run with a few tracks that I had on repeat. Later on we got a snippet from Dc2Trill and 1300Saint with ‘Ken Carson/N.T.G’, which later released on all platforms, which I am beyond grateful for.
LANCEY FOUX seemingly joins this concept by releasing ‘SEEIMSAYIN’ exclusively on Youtube, for now. The track stats off with a deep drop and high tempo, accompanied with his signature grimey and disgruntled vocals that he is known for. The beat is not overpowering and I get the feeling of like a marching army beat, mixed with this eerie horrific sound cycling just over the beat. Lyrically the UK artist explores ideas of his lifestyle and his come up, stunting on anyone who doubted him.
It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that Lancey is from the UK, his sound is so distinctively different from the usual UK trends but so good at the same time. Check out the music video for ‘SEEIMSAYIN’ below.
